Fast And The Furious 4

Who doesn’t love hot girls and loaded cars? It’s a dead-end question. Switch them if you want, but it’s the same dead-end jaw-dropper. I’m one of those guys who love this series so much even if I don’t own a single vehicle back home. The only thing that I can relate is driving and hot girls, does that rhyme? Bwahaha.

As soon as I was informed that another installment will be coming out for the series, I knew it will be deeper than Tokyo Drift. Not that I didn’t like the third one, it’s just that I was expecting a bit of relativity from 2 Fast 2 Furious. FF3 offered a glimpse though, but it just stirred more bids of a deeper plot.

Random points about FF4 (SPOILER ALERT):

1. It is believed to be a prequel to FF3: Tokyo Drift and occurred 5 years after FF1. It is filmed within Los Angeles & part of Mexico and will be released on June 5, 2009. It is directed by the Justin Lin, the same one who made Tokyo Drift.

2. Dominic Toretto (Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Walker), Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) will be back, as well as Han (Sung Kang) from Tokyo Drift and Rom (rapper Tyrese) from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

3. Letty will be seen rollin’ with a new nemesis, wherein she will be killed by the same South American heroin dealers. Dom and Brian will meet again at Letty’s funeral and will team-up to catch Antonio Braga (Ortiz) red-handed, with Dom seeking revenge and Brian being an undercover (again) fed.

4. FF4 will give the missing link of Dom and Han, quoted from his when-he-was-rollin-with-me cameo on the last sequence of FF3.

If we could face it though, it doesn’t have a remarkable plot. But who cares, right? If we’re on the same table, the “hardwares” compensates to most of the neglected details. I may not be a geek on torque and N2O, but it has definitely pulled me in to drive some more and watch this one as well.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

It has been only days since I’ve explored the features of this WordPress blog. One that interests me lately is posting a video, more like a Youtube type of it. As I try to search the web on how to do it, my attention was trapped to the movie section of a popular search engine. I totally forgot about posting a video entry because of the too much excitement about the latest Star Wars movie.

So here you go, a widget from starwars.com:

I may be missing out on premieres or special screenings, may also be missing out on watching it on the wide screen, because I still don’t know if they will show it here in Kuwait.

Well, I don’t wanna rant about it coz I won’t let myself sit around and do nothing. <evil laugh>

I will see it, one way or another! Hint: Capt. Jack Sparrow.

Shay Bettencourt. If you were at the game that night, you could’ve noticed her too. We all have ways of showing our defiance. She flashed hers as a roadside attraction. Daring me to drive by without giving a look. Of course, i wanted to shoot her the moment I saw her. She had all what to look for in a subject.

Loneliness. Mystery.

A lot of people hide who they really are. They’ve become masters of doing it. Behind perfect GPAs. Behind fixed smiles. Designer clothes. People they hang-out with. Some have been hiding so long, they don’t know who they are anymore. That’s what I’ve been trying to find with my camera. Who they really are.

Desiree Thomas. She fits perfectly in the scripted world. Did everything with a natural grace. Comfortable wherever she was. Seems everything I did was to calculate to get myself somewhere else. To give twice the energy as half the result. We dated a few times, but there was no mystery.

A good relationship needs mystery.

It’s been said that a good photographer captures the subject. But a good subject captures the photographer. Shay had me, there was no doubt about it. I was drawn into her.

Her face spoke volumes. I became addicted to it. Her haunted eyes challenged me. It’s a strange thing that happens when an artist and subject clicked. A synergy is created. Each sense has been playing a role that’s very powerful. But it’s unspoken.

Say that out loud and you might kill it.” -Jordan Wells
