Fast And The Furious 4

Who doesn’t love hot girls and loaded cars? It’s a dead-end question. Switch them if you want, but it’s the same dead-end jaw-dropper. I’m one of those guys who love this series so much even if I don’t own a single vehicle back home. The only thing that I can relate is driving and hot girls, does that rhyme? Bwahaha.

As soon as I was informed that another installment will be coming out for the series, I knew it will be deeper than Tokyo Drift. Not that I didn’t like the third one, it’s just that I was expecting a bit of relativity from 2 Fast 2 Furious. FF3 offered a glimpse though, but it just stirred more bids of a deeper plot.

Random points about FF4 (SPOILER ALERT):

1. It is believed to be a prequel to FF3: Tokyo Drift and occurred 5 years after FF1. It is filmed within Los Angeles & part of Mexico and will be released on June 5, 2009. It is directed by the Justin Lin, the same one who made Tokyo Drift.

2. Dominic Toretto (Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Walker), Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) will be back, as well as Han (Sung Kang) from Tokyo Drift and Rom (rapper Tyrese) from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

3. Letty will be seen rollin’ with a new nemesis, wherein she will be killed by the same South American heroin dealers. Dom and Brian will meet again at Letty’s funeral and will team-up to catch Antonio Braga (Ortiz) red-handed, with Dom seeking revenge and Brian being an undercover (again) fed.

4. FF4 will give the missing link of Dom and Han, quoted from his when-he-was-rollin-with-me cameo on the last sequence of FF3.

If we could face it though, it doesn’t have a remarkable plot. But who cares, right? If we’re on the same table, the “hardwares” compensates to most of the neglected details. I may not be a geek on torque and N2O, but it has definitely pulled me in to drive some more and watch this one as well.
